After completing this course, students will know how to:
- Start using Fireworks CS4 by identifying workspace components, navigating in a document, and using Fireworks Help.
- Create and save a basic document, and create and modify vector shapes and auto shapes.
- Resize and trim graphics, apply colors, create custom colors, add swatches to the Swatches panel, apply gradients and fills, adjust opacity, and set stroke attributes.
- Import bitmap images into a document, select portions of an image, modify bitmap images, apply filters, and crop an image.
- Create and import text, format text blocks, apply fill and stroke attributes to text, attach text to a path, and convert text to paths.
- Prepare graphics for the Web by resizing and optimizing them, creating and modifying slices, optimizing colors, and exporting graphics.
